Thoroughbred Charities of America

TCA raises and distributes money to approved charitable organizations assisting with Thoroughbred rehabilitation, retraining, and rehoming; backstretch and farm employee programs; and equine-assisted therapy programs.

Dream Haven Equine Sanctuary looks forward to participating in the 2022 Thoroughbred Makeover Challenge as well as soliciting grant monies.

VFW Veterans Equine Therapy Project

We will begin working with VFW for opportunities to develop a Veterans program for disabled/PTSD victims to have therapy visits to the farm.

Texas A&M AgriLife

This Spring we plan to meet with administrators at Texas A&M Agrilife division to determine if there are opportunities for select students to work at the Sanctuary for college credits. We are also reaching out to local high school teachers for developing a similar program.

Sanctuary Development Projects

We will continue fencing the property and look forward to building a 60-foot round pen dedicated to training and conditioning.

Equipment Purchases

Dream Haven is on the wait list for delivery of a new Kubota RTV. Expected delivery time is end of January or February.

Wish List Items

Dream Haven is in need of a good set of Preifert horse stocks so that we can safely medicate and treat our current and intake horses. Stocks will enable us to safely doctor injuries, and medicate the horses while reducing the risk of injury to both humans and horses.
